Dr. Syed Mohmad Afrayeem is an Assistant Professor (Seed Science & Technology) at Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth, Faridabad, Haryana, with over 10 years of experience in academia, research, and administration. He holds a Ph.D. in Agriculture (Seed Science & Technology) from SHUATS, Prayagraj, where he focused on the impact of nanoparticles and botanicals on seed health in stored chilli seeds. His expertise includes seed quality testing, nano-technology applications, hybrid seed production, genetic variability studies, and germplasm evaluation.

Dr. Afrayeem has extensive teaching and research experience, having served in various academic institutions across India. He also spent five years as a Student Trainee in the Seed Testing Laboratory at SHUATS. In addition to teaching and research, he has held key administrative positions, such as Exam Coordinator, Chief Warden, Project Coordinator, and Laboratory Coordinator. He has contributed significantly to ICAR accreditation preparations, organized placement drives, workshops, and Board of Studies meetings, and played an essential role in agricultural curriculum development.

Dr. Afrayeem has published 24 research papers in reputed journals, authored 3 book chapters, and contributed to 1 book. He has actively participated in 07 national and international conferences/seminars, presenting research on agricultural innovations. His research, supported by the Madhya Pradesh Private University Regulatory Commission, focuses on DUS characterization of Snap-Melon landraces. He has received several prestigious awards, including the Young Agriculture Scientist Award and the Agriculture Scientist Award for his contributions to seed science and technology.

As a mentor, he has guided 21 M.Sc. students and is skilled in seed certification, nanoparticle preparation, germplasm evaluation, and DUS characterization. Dr. Afrayeem continues to make significant contributions to agricultural research and education.
