About Centre

The Gender Sensitization Laboratory, a specialized unit within the Center of Excellence (CoE), is dedicated to advancing gender equity and understanding gender dynamics. Through rigorous research, tailored educational programs, and actionable interventions, the Laboratory seeks to address and mitigate gender disparities. Its efforts are focused on enhancing awareness of gender issues and promoting systemic change by implementing innovative practices and fostering crosssector collaborations. By engaging with various stakeholders, including educational institutions, businesses, and community organizations, the Laboratory aims to create a more inclusive and equitable environment, driving meaningful change and improving gender sensitivity across diverse contexts.

Objectives of the Centre

• To conduct cutting-edge research on gender issues, including but not limited to, discrimination, representation, and intersectionality.
• To develop and deliver educational programs and workshops to raise awareness and build skills related to gender sensitivity.
• To work with organizations and institutions to develop and implement policies that promote gender equity.
• To advocate for gender-sensitive practices and policies at local, national, and global levels.
• To engage with diverse communities to promote gender sensitivity and gather grassroots perspectives on gender issues.
• To leverage technology and innovative solutions to address gender issues, such as developing apps for reporting harassment or creating virtual reality experiences for empathy training.
• To promote and support gender-sensitive leadership practices and train leaders to champion gender equity within their organizations.
• To develop strategies and provide resources for addressing gender-based crises, such as sexual harassment or domestic violence.
