The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) was established in the year 1998 under the School of Engineering & Technology to meet the growing requirements of professional engineers in the country and abroad. The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering endeavors to provide state-of-the-art education and lays great emphasis in developing technical skills and all around development of the students.
The main objective of the department is to create, train and develop competent and industry-ready technical professionals, having sound knowledge with analytical ability, who would perform and deliver well in their future assignments and responsibilities and at the same time have moral and ethical values.
The department has highly qualified and experienced faculty members from IITs/NITs/Foreign Universities with the specialization in various areas like VLSI Design, Embedded System Design, Optical Fiber Communication, Antenna Design, Electrical Machines and Drives, Control Systems, Signal & System Processing, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Data Science, Cyber Security and Block chain. The department actively promotes participation of faculty and students for centralized research activities in the Center of Excellence. The faculty members have a large number of publications to their credit in more than 50 referred and peer-reviewed journals and are engaged in the R&D activities in the areas of Image Processing, Antenna Design, Video Processing, Robotics, AI & ML and Data Science etc.
