Dr. Disha Bhatnagar

My journey in music has been a lifelong passion, deeply rooted in my family’s rich heritage of musical excellence. I hold a Ph.D. from the Faculty of Music and Fine Arts at Delhi University, where I focused on Indian Classical music.

My teaching career began at various prestigious institutions, where I had the pleasure of teaching young students vocal music. I have also, embraced the digital age by conducting online music classes, allowing me to reach and inspire a broader audience.

In addition to teaching, I have actively contributed to the academic community through my research. I have presented papers at various national conferences and seminars, including topics such as “वर्तमान संगीत में सुधार हेतु अनुसंधानों की आवश्यकता” and “रियाज़ एवं अध्यात्म का अंत: सम्बन्ध.” These experiences have enriched my understanding of Indian classical music and its profound impact on our cultural heritage.

As an Associate Professor in the Music Department, I am dedicated to fostering the social and academic growth of my students. I strive to create a learning environment that is flexible and inclusive, addressing the diverse learning styles and abilities of each student. My goal is to inspire and nurture the next generation of musicians, helping them discover the healing power of music and the joy of creative expression.
