Ms. Shilpa Sharma is an esteemed academician and lawyer with over nine years of post-qualification litigation experience, coupled with three years of teaching experience as an Assistant Professor at Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D in Law and  holds a degree of  B.A. LLB(HONS.) from GGSIPU, Delhi and LLM (Corporate Law), Kurukshetra University and further complemented by her extensive experience in the legal field. Throughout her career, she has exhibited exceptional skills in civil, criminal, and family law, having represented clients in various courts in Delhi, including the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, High Court of Delhi, and District Courts, alongside forums like the National Consumer Forum and State Commission. Her academic contributions are noteworthy, with several research papers published in reputable journals.

Her commitment to professional growth is evident through her participation in numerous workshops, seminars, and faculty development programs. Notably, she completed a Certificate Course on “Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005” with an exemplary grade. She actively engages in programs aimed at enhancing teaching methodologies, such as the UGC sponsored “NEP Orientation & Sensitization Programme-V” and workshops like “Tech X Law.”

LEADERSHIP AND CONTRIBUTIONS:

Ms. Sharma’s leadership qualities are reflected in her various roles within the academic community. She served as the Head of the Department In charge, where she orchestrated legal programs for students, including Legal Aid Camps and District Court visits. Her dedication extends beyond academia, as she actively participates in cultural activities, sports, and community events. Notably, she received appreciation from the Deputy Commissioner of Police for her contribution to the tableau of Haryana Police, highlighting her multifaceted engagement.

  • Presented paper titled as “Third Gender Identity and Expression” in 5th International Conference, School of legal studies, K.R. Mangalam University,
  • Participated in CLEA- Commonwealth Attorneys and Solicitors General Conference 2024 (CASGC’24) from 2nd -5th February, 2024 on Cross Border Challenges in Justice Delivery which was organized by Govt. of India, Dept. of Legal Affairs, Ministry of Law and Justice), office of the Attorney General and Solicitor General of India & Commonwealth Legal Education Association at New Delhi, India.
  • Presented a research paper titled as Impact of War on International Trade Law at International Conference on Trade and Investment Laws: Emerging Legal & Economic perspectives organized by CTIC, School of Law in collaboration with CTIL, IIFT, COI, school of law, Greenwhich University and school of law, Bradford University.
  • Presented a research paper as a Co-author of Position of corporate social responsibility in India in International Conference on Ignite Empowering Innovation and Leadership for Thriving Start Ups” organized by school of commerce and management, LV 11.23 and 04.11.23.
  • Research Paper titled as “An examination of Plea Bargaining Rights, UGC care group I, published on 8th July 2023.
  • Attended a seminar on intellectual property rights on January 28, 2023, which was presented by the school of pharmacy at Lingayas Vidyapeeth.
  • Attended seminar on “Creativity and Innovation Inside the Box” which was held at Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth, Faridabad.

  • Attended 8 day (21 to 29 September 2023) National level Online Faculty Development Program on Research Methodology using Chat GPT & AI Tools for Teachersorganised by PG Department of Computer Applications, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Lincoln University College Marian Research Centre (LUC MRC) of Marian College Kuttikanam in association with The Kerala State Higher Education Council.
  • Participated in 7day (10th to 18th August 2023) National level Online Faculty Development Program on Outcome Based Education and Essential AI Tools for Teachersorganised by Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Carmel College (Autonomous), Mala, Thrissur in association with The Kerala State Higher Education Council.
  • 1 week FDP on International Faculty Development Program in collaboration with MDS Indocan organized by the SOCM, Lingayas Vidyapeeth.
  • Attended one-week FDP “National Online Faculty Development Program on “Changing Dimensions of Legal Education in Contemporary Era from 8 to 13th August 2022 which was organized by School of legal Studies, K.R. Mangalam University, Gurugram.
  • Attended one-week Faculty Development Programme on “Scaling up agricultural & allied Sciences Through New Paradigm of Entrepreneurship Development”. This programme was held in Virtual Mode from 1st December, 2022 to 7th December, 2022 at 03 PM-04 PM organized by School of Agriculture & Research & Development Cell, Lingayas Vidyapeeth.
