Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth Welcomes Freshers with a Grand Induction Program

Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth kicked off its annual Induction Program on September 2, 2024, marking the beginning of a new academic journey for its latest batch of students 2024-2025. The ten-day program, scheduled to conclude on September 12, 2024, is designed to introduce the freshers to the university’s vibrant culture, facilities, and expectations.

As the new students arrived on campus, they were warmly greeted and were given badges to make the registration process seamless, pens, and notepads were given, serving as a symbolic welcome to Lingaya’s family. A screening of a video featuring the Honorable Governor of Haryana, Shri Bandaru Dattatreya, who recently inaugurated the university’s auditorium “Rangmanch” set the tone for the event.

The Induction Program was formally inaugurated by Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Chinnaiyan Ramasubramanyam through a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony. The students were then introduced to the university’s vibrant life through a series of videos showcasing past and upcoming events, activities, and achievements.

Dr. Anand Pathak and Dr. Rupak Deb, two of key organizers of the program, outlined the exciting activities and competitions lined up for the ten days.

• Fashion Styling and Photo Shoot: An opportunity to explore the world of fashion and photography.
• Best out of Waste: A competition promoting environmental awareness and creativity.
• Ice Breaker: Activities to help students connect and build friendships.
• Meditation: Sessions to promote relaxation and mindfulness.
• Career Planning: Workshops to guide students in making informed career choices.

The Induction Program was attended by both teaching and non-teaching staff, providing a chance for the new students to interact with faculty members as well as among other students and familiarize themselves with the university’s support systems.
